60’s Radio
Sunny. Polished. Effortlessly cool.
Plush leather, brass details, and carefree charm set the tone for the 1960s. This inaugural radio captures the spirit of beach holidays and mid-century elegance—laying the visual foundation for the entire show with its vintage flair and timeless class.
The number(s) for this section of the show were:
”Dream A Little Dream of Me” & “California Dreamin’” - The Mamas & The Papas
”Here Comes the Sun” - The Beatles
”Surfin’ U.S.A.” & “Fun, Fun, Fun” Medley - The Beach Boys

70’s Radio
Warm. Wavy. Laid-back.
The '70s dialed into wood paneling, saturated earth tones, and groovy curves. This radio channels the era’s mellow spirit—where bell bottoms swayed, forms flowed organically, and design felt like a soft-focus dream straight out of a lava lamp.
The number(s) for this section of the show were:
”Your Song” - Elton John
”Your Mama Don’t Dance” - Loggins & Messina
”You’re No Good” - Linda Ronstadt
”Go Your Own Way” - Fleetwood Mac

80’s Radio
Grit. Flash. Rebellion.
The '80s were loud—and this radio is no exception. Inspired by the rise of punk and the era's unapologetic maximal-ism, this design leans into gritty textures, chaotic layering, and brash visual noise. It’s a tribute to a time when design wasn’t subtle—and didn’t want to be.
The number(s) for this section of the show were:
”Thunderstruck” Interlude - AC/DC
”Rock And Roll All Nite” - KISS
”Nothin’ But A Good Time” - Poison
”It Must Have Been Love” - Roxette
”Where The Streets Have No Name” - U2
Eighties DJ V1 - Dr. Johnny Fever concept

90’s Radio
Sleek. Digital. Dial-up dreams.
The 90s ushered in an era of smooth interfaces, chrome finishes, and the birth of the internet as we know it. This radio channels early tech optimism—where pixelated screens, CD drives, and translucent plastics defined the future.
The number(s) for this section of the show were:
”Hold On” - Wilson Phillips
Nineties DJ - Shadow Stevens concept

00’s Radio
Pop. Neon. Gen Z.
Designing this radio was a unique challenge—not just in form, but in identity. At a time when "the radio" is no longer a fixed object but an evolving concept, the brief asked us to define something that’s constantly redefining itself. This piece is a response to that ambiguity: bold, bright, and un-apologetically of-the-moment.
The number(s) for this section of the show were:
”What Makes You Beautiful” - One Direction
”Life Is A Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me)” Medley - RWS Cover
